Helmet Selection Guide

Selecting the right Brandbull helmet depends on the primary operational role. The Vulcan NEO is designed for structural firefighting and combines EN 443 structural protection with EN 16471 wildland and EN 16473 technical rescue certifications — making it the preferred choice for fire services that respond across multiple incident types. The Tytan MAX is optimised for wildland fire and technical rescue where lower weight and wider temperature range are priorities.

For fleet procurement, Brandbull helmets are available in multiple shell colours supporting incident command identification: fluorescent yellow (firefighter), red (watch commander), white (station commander/safety officer). Custom colour configurations can be ordered for larger fleet contracts.

Maintenance & Service Life

Brandbull helmets are designed for a 10-year service life when maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions. The interior lining is machine-washable and replaceable. Visors, chin straps, and neck protectors are available as spare parts. Helmets must be replaced immediately following significant impact or thermal exposure, and should be inspected annually by a competent person. We supply spare parts and maintenance kits.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Brandbull helmets are available for African fire services?

We supply the Brandbull Vulcan NEO (EN 443:2008 structural + EN 16471 wildland + EN 16473 technical rescue) and the Tytan MAX HTM 102 (EN 16471/EN 16473 wildland and technical rescue). Both are available in multiple shell colours for fleet identification.

What standard do Brandbull firefighting helmets meet?

Brandbull structural helmets are certified to EN 443:2008 (structural firefighting in buildings), EN 16471 (wildland fire), and EN 16473 (technical rescue). All helmets carry CE marking and are supplied with the EU Declaration of Conformity.

How do I select the right Brandbull helmet?

For structural firefighting, specify the Vulcan NEO (EN 443). For wildland or technical rescue only, the Tytan MAX offers lower weight. For multi-role fire services, the Vulcan NEO's triple certification makes it the most versatile choice. Contact us for fleet configuration advice.

Can Brandbull helmets be fitted with communication headsets?

Yes. The Vulcan NEO is compatible with Savox, Ceotronics, and Holmco communication systems used across Egypt and the Gulf. Helmets can be supplied pre-fitted on request. Integrated communication enables team coordination without separate headbands.
