Pneumatic cone and wedge sealing lances and tank leak drainage bags for road tanker and rail wagon hazmat incidents. Authorised Vetter distributor — Africa & Gulf.
The Vetter leak sealing lance is a pneumatic device inserted into a leaking pipe opening, valve port, or small aperture and inflated to seal the leak from within. Available with cone, wedge, and multi-element heads to match different leak geometries. The complementary tank leak drainage bag system simultaneously seals the external surface of a tank leak and safely transfers the remaining hazardous product to a collection vessel.
Vetter lances are inserted into the leak opening and inflated with compressed air to create an internal plug seal. Available in cone, wedge, and dual-head configurations. Used on valve outlets, pipe stubs, manhole connections, and other accessible openings during tanker or vessel incidents.
| Application | Internal sealing of pipe openings, valve ports |
| Elements | Pneumatic cone, wedge, and dual-head variants |
| Insertion | Lance-style — inserted into the leak opening |
| Standard | CE certified |
The Vetter tank leak sealing and drainage system combines an external sealing bag applied over the leak point with a suction lance and transfer hose to simultaneously seal and drain the tank contents to a safe collection container. Essential for road tanker rollover, rail wagon incidents, and storage tank emergencies where the product must be removed before vehicle recovery.
| Application | Road tankers, rail wagons, storage tank incidents |
| Function | Seal leak + drain product simultaneously |
| Components | External sealing bag, suction lance, transfer hose |
A Vetter leak sealing lance is a long pneumatic sealing element designed to be inserted into a pipe opening, valve port, or accessible aperture. Once inserted, it inflates to plug the opening from the inside — stopping the flow of liquid or gas. Lances are used where standard external sealing bags cannot access the leak geometry.
When a road tanker or rail wagon has suffered a structural failure, simply sealing the leak is not enough — the vehicle cannot be righted or moved until the remaining hazardous product is safely transferred out. The Vetter tank leak drainage bag seals the outside while a suction lance transfers product to a collection container, enabling safe vehicle recovery.
