Vetter leak sealing paste is the right product when the leak is small and the source is accessible — a hairline crack, a weeping flange, a small puncture, or a deteriorated thread connection. For larger leaks, the paste is often used in combination with other Vetter sealing products: apply paste to the leak point, then secure a sealing bag or sleeve over it for additional mechanical support.
It is not the right choice for large-bore pipe failures, major structural leaks, or situations where the vessel is under significant internal pressure — in those cases, Vetter pneumatic sealing bags, pipe plugs, or the high-pressure sealing system are the appropriate products.
